ARC Essex Foundation Golf Classic September 24, 2007 Rock Spring Club, West Orange, NJ Everyone who attended the ARC Essex Foundation Golf Classic XIX would agree that it was a fabulous event. The weather was beautiful, the camaraderie spectacular, enhanced by an endless amount of delicious food. Everyone seemed to be having a glorious time. We had over 40 volunteers that day who helped make it run smoothly and we owe a debt of gratitude to Sue Wright who organizes the volunteers and makes sure everything is perfect. Ron Carr and Rick Wright (Sue’s husband) are Co-chairs of the Golf Committee and their leadership and enthusiasm are noteworthy. We owe special thanks to Steve Newmark of A.J. Wilner Associates who volunteered his services and acted as the auctioneer during dinner. The winning raffle ticket for the Golf trip for four to the Doral in Florida was sold by Tim White, a member of the ARC Essex Foundation Board and Golf Committee to one of his fellow workers at the CIT Group in their New York offices. I suspect that everyone in the office will be begging Tim for tickets next year. The amount of revenue raised was almost $168,000, most of which will insure that The ARC of Essex County programs will continue to be maintained at the same high level that The ARC has become famous for over the last 59 years.
