  Camp Hope
The ARC of Essex County provides various camp opportunities.

Camp Hope
Camp Hope is an eight-week summer day program that offers swimming, sports, music, nature, art and field trips. Located on seven wooded, fenced acres in East Hanover, Camp Hope provides a structured, caring and supportive environment that brings together campers, counselors and volunteers for fun, personal growth and “memories that last a lifetime.”

Volunteers further support campers throughout the summer. The camp hosts many special events, including a carnival, Olympic-style events and special activities on Fridays. There are picnic groves, volleyball and softball fields, a playground, a covered pavilion, two pools and a recreation building for indoor and rainy day activities.

Summer Day Program at Camp Hope
The ARC of Essex County’s Summer Day Program at Camp Hope features academic periods during the course of the camp day. There will be a strong emphasis on daily living skills, peer interaction, socialization skills, and developing appropriate behaviors. You may be able to request this as your summer program option through your school district. Please call for more information on this exciting opportunity.

Adult Camping Experience
Our ACE program, Adult Camping Experience, is for individuals over age 21. ACE participants travel away from camp on field trips one or two times a week; while at camp they take part in regular adult day camp activities.
